At the Loretta Hotel in Cervia, we have already been working with Legambiente for several years now and we have started a process of continuous improvement to reduce the environmental impact!

BEING AN ECO-SUSTAINABLE HOTEL DOES NOT ONLY MEAN OBTAINING A GREEN CERTIFICATION: IT IS THE PHILOSOPHY OF TOTALLY EMBRACING A SUSTAINABLE AND CONSCIOUS APPROACH TOWARDS NATURE AND THE TERRITORY THAT SURROUNDS US.

Here are our sustainable choices that make it possible to preserve the environment, improving the quality of life.

1) Energy

– Replacement of all high consumption bulbs with more efficient LED and energy saving bulbs in rooms and common areas;
– Installation of photovoltaic and solar panels for electricity and hot water.

2) Water saving

– Linen change on request and water saving for laundry washing;
– Reduction of water flow in all taps in the Hotel;
– Material for raising awareness of the use of water and linen change in the room, avoiding waste;
– Realization of geothermal wells with the recovery of rainwater

3) Fight against plastic

LET’S START WITH THE MOST NOTORIOUS PROBLEM:
“ONLY 20% OF THE PLASTIC PRODUCED HAS BEEN RECYCLED OR INCINERATED. EVERYTHING ELSE HAS ACCUMULATED AS WASTE ON LAND AND IN WATER. AS A RESULT, BETWEEN 4 AND 12 MILLION TONNES OF PLASTIC END UP IN THE SEAS AROUND THE WORLD EVERY YEAR, CAUSING 80% OF MARINE POLLUTION (SOURCE OF PLASTIC POLLUTION AT SEA)”.
Here is the Hotel Loretta in Cervia as it engages in the fight against plastic:

– By choosing to drink water on tap, emissions are cut by over 90%. To which must be added the damage of plastic dispersion in the environment if the empty bottles are not disposed of properly;
– We’ve decided to dispose of the half-liter plastic water bottles with the environmentally friendly water bottles;
– Replacing single-dose soap with Dispensers;
– Eliminating as much as possible the single serving in our breakfast buffet in compliance with current regulations.

4) Waste: Reduce, reuse, recycle

– We have provided our guests with containers for recycling;
-Reduce the waste of “disposable” elements can reduce the amount of plastic produced and discarded, as well as single use courtesy products in the bathrooms of the rooms; we choose to use distributors with “hand wash and shower/shampoo” product thus eliminating the need for bottles and the waste of soap used;
– Use of ecolabel cellulose toilet paper coming from coppice forests

5) Cleaning detergents

– We use concentrated ecological detergents for room cleaning and laundry washing, to reduce plastic consumption and limit pollution.

6) Tradition at the table yes … but with respect for nature and the environment!

At Hotel Loretta we want you and your family to enjoy the best of a break during your holiday, focusing on health, wellness and eco-sustainability… starting with food.
Here you will eat mainly fresh, quality food and for the most part products from local producers.

From the research of the ingredient to the study and composition of the recipe, our menu is characterized by ingredients and dishes that follow the Romagna tradition, revisited in a healthy, nutritional and light way, without ever giving up the original taste.

This is our daily commitment:

– we propose a healthy and conscious cuisine, with refined ingredients, always respectful of the flavours of Romagna;
– We have been using live sourdough in our kitchen for a long time and are part of the “Figli di Pasta Madre Viva” family;
– The wine included in the All Inclusive treatment of the “Zavalloni” farm is local, from the city of Cesena;
– Starting in the morning, you’ll have a wide choice of fresh products (the cakes are all homemade), fruit at km 0, yogurt and fresh cheeses (squcquerone, casatella, ricotta, mascarpone, bucciato di Romagna, etc. …) are supplied to us by the milk plant of Cesena;
– In our lunch and dinner buffets, we offer only fruit and vegetables at km 0, respecting the seasonality.
– In addition, you will find natural salt substitutes and flavour enhancers with vegetables dried directly by us;

– We propose in our menu every day dishes for vegetarians and fresh fruit and vegetables extracts, made by us;
– For the preparation of our desserts, we use the milk kefir produced daily by us.

7) Responsible Mobility

– We provide free parking to leave your car and enjoy your cycling holiday, renting it directly at the hotel;
– Promotion of public transport with information and timetables;
– For your next holidays avoid queues and stress: choose the train! The train station of Cervia-Milano Marittima is less than 2 km from the hotel.
– The hotel is easily reachable by taking bus n. 126 and getting off on the Lungomare di Cervia in front of the Universal Hotel, 200 mt from us.

8) We absorb Co2… with trees!

The presence of plants purifies the environment and absorbs CO2, which is why every summer we try to make our hotel a large garden near the sea. On the other hand, what could be more pleasant than a hammock under a tree in summer?
